An interesting take on some potential use cases for Snapchat in the B2B space. For me, the major hindrance lies in the fact that the majority of Snapchat's DAUs fall into the category 18-24 years (45% in fact). What's more, a staggering 71% of users are under 34 y/o. So until their average user age shifts upwards, I imagine the principal application of Snapchat in the B2B world will be for talent acquisition purposes (particularly given that college students compose the preponderance of their userbase).
I would be delighted to be proven wrong - I look forward to seeing the 50+ C-Suites wandering around the conference hall with a pair of Snap Spectacles on.
Ways in which B2B companies can use Snapchat include showcasing live events or conferences, telling stories behind the brand, or using it as an effective recruitment tool. For instance, Hootsuite uses video on Snapchat to present its content in an engaging fashion, encouraging viewers to screenshot it as it plays.
